LiquidFiles Documentation

In Admin → Network, it's possible to configure the setting for http/https redirect. It has five settings:

Setting Description
Blank In this mode, everything is allowed, and no redirections are performed.
Force https In this mode, all traffic is forced to use https. Connections on http will be instantly redirected to https. This is the default.
Prefer https Connections to both http and https is permitted. Any absolute URL is using https and any redirection performed is using https. For instance, if you browse the LiquidFiles system using http - when logging in, you will be permitted to login and if successful you will be redirected to the compose page. During the redirect, you will be redirected using https. If you change the URL manually though, you will be permitted to use http.
This is probably the best mode when using an external load balancer/SSL offloader. With this setup the connection between the SSL offloader and the LiquidFiles system is typically http and will likely cause a redirect loop in Force https mode. Since we are not redirecting traffic in the LiquidFiles system, this can be controlled in the SSL offloader/Load balancer configuration instead.
Force http All traffic is forced to use http. Connections on https will be instantly redirected to http.
Prefer http Same as Prefer https, but for http. Connections to both http and https is allowed. Any references to URLs will use http.
